Are you searching for drug rehab centers but aren’t sure how to choose the best program for you or someone close to you? Making the decision to enter a substance abuse treatment facility is one of the most important decisions in your life. As such, it is important to take the time to choose the right drug rehab facility. At Insights Behavioral Health and our Columbia, Missouri addiction recovery center, we believe that every client is different and deserves an individualized approach to treatment.

For this reason, we base all treatment plans on each client’s needs. This process begins with a comprehensive initial evaluation. With this information, we are able to develop an addiction recovery treatment program based on your unique needs. Information taken into consideration includes the length and severity of your addiction, history of family addiction, and whether you have any other underlying issues or disorders that might affect the recovery process.

As part of our approach to treatment, we also provide dual diagnosis mental health treatment for clients who require it. The goal of this process is to identify any other issues or conditions that might be present. This could include anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues. By identifying and treating those issues at the same time as your addiction, we will be able to give you the best chance at a successful recovery.

Once you have completed the initial evaluation process, the next step is usually detoxification. At our drug detox clinic in Columbia, Missouri, we offer a continually-monitored detox process to provide you with comfort and safety while eliminating any harmful toxins that might be present in your system which might complicate the recovery process. After you have completed detox, you will then be ready to move on to the next step in our addiction recovery program.

At our addiction recovery facility, we are pleased to offer a variety of services and treatment programs. While some clients do quite well with group counseling and appreciate the opportunity to share with others in an open environment, some clients prefer individual counseling. Cognitive and behavioral counseling also play an important role in the recovery process at our addiction treatment center. We have found that most clients are not able to embark on the path to a lasting recovery until they understand the issues behind their addiction.

In recognition of this, we work with each client to uncover those issues and help them to understand why they turned to addiction, possible factors that might trigger a relapse in the future, and the best way to avoid relapse. This often includes analyzing stress triggers and developing healthy, new habits to replace old, unhealthy habits. For instance, many people have a hard time coping with stress and turn to substance abuse as a way of handling that stress. We work with each client to help him or her learn how to cope with stress in healthy ways rather than relying on substance abuse.

Family counseling is also often an important part of the recovery process. We have found that many clients experience rifts with close family members, including spouses, children, parents, and siblings. The goal of family counseling is to heal those rifts and help clients to build a strong support network they can rely on once they leave our treatment program.

At our addiction treatment facility, we provide vital resources and tools to assist you in recovering from your addiction in a safe and comfortable environment. Regardless of how long you have battled addiction, it is possible to start a new life. Even after you leave our treatment program, Insight Behavioral Health is here to help you maintain your sobriety by providing such aftercare services as individual counseling, group counseling, and support group meetings. We can also assist you in finding a sober living home where you can make the transition to living on your own if you are not able to immediately return to a safe living environment.
